The FC vs. iSCSI debate is still ultimately about cost. To say that HBA's and FC switches are less expensive than in the past does not negate the fact that iSCSI networks run on existing IP equipment eliminating the need for dedicated FC SAN equipment (not to mention dedicated FC storage experts). For small companies looking to add storage to their environment, this is a critical deciding factor.
